ABOUT
There’s nothing as indicative of an oasis quite like the image of palm trees in the scorching desert. It's these trees, the date palms, that stand unique in producing sweet fruit in the face of the elements. Their significance for the Arab culture is almost mythical, and they became our inspiration for this packaging of NUA, an ultra premium brand specializing in cultivating the world's finest dates. NUA is a subbrand of Al Madinah Heritage Company, a PIF company.
Illustrating the trunk of a palm tree, STEM is a modular, stackable bonbonnière that feels utterly organic and intuitive in its use, while hiding a tremendous amount of sophistication in its technical creation. The design blends warm walnut wood and polished stainless steel, in an aesthetically luxurious visual.
The chosen pattern holds a notable symbolic weight, as it only appears when a date palm is cultivated, directly referencing the symbiotic relationship between man and nature.
Specialists in three continents joined forces with our team in the crafting of this high-end product. In order to achieve the particular geometry and a seamless connection between the curvatures and interlocking of the forms, we used stamping and CNC milling techniques. Meant both as a storage as well as a presentation object, STEM allows space for each date, underlining the meticulous selection process that NUA follows.
There are multiple configurations to the use of the four date trays.
You may choose to present the full four-layer cylinder to your guests, use two layers to create a closed serving dish, or simply place the individual bowls directly on the table as shared or personal serving trays.
