ABOUT

The Challenge
For Notting Hill Carnival 2025, Omnia Carnival unveiled Ori ana’e (Let’s Dance), a theme inspired by a hidden Tiki village in the Polynesian seas. The challenge was to deliver bold visuals that captured the mystique and energy of the theme while supporting both the road experience and masquerader engagement.

The Strategy
The design approach focused on blending Polynesian-inspired motifs with Omnia’s vibrant carnival identity. Large-format truck banners were developed for maximum visibility on the road, while functional print and digital assets ensured masqueraders and staff had a seamless brand experience throughout the weekend.

The Execution
I designed Truck 1’s back and side banners (used Sunday and Monday), provided art direction for Truck 2’s back banner on Sunday, and collaborated with another designer to finalise the output. I also created the cocktail and shots menus, designed as pull-outs from the official booklet. This year the booklet was available primarily online, offering masqueraders easy access to event details, drinks lists, and theme information.

The Outcome
The Ori ana’e campaign gave Omnia a cohesive and striking presence on the road. The banners stood out as high-impact visuals, while the menus and digital booklet reinforced the theme and supported the masquerader experience. The consistent design language across large-scale and digital assets positioned Omnia as a standout band at Notting Hill Carnival 2025, celebrating culture, mystique, and revelry in true carnival style.
