About me
My name is Laurien Versteegh.
In February 2006 I finished my Bachelor Scenography at Minerva School of Arts Groningen (Holland). From September 2006 until September 2007 I completed my "Performance Design and Practice" at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
I have experience working in both theatre and in fine arts, which gives me the ability to be quiet flexible.
During my Bachelor studies I have done several work internships. In three of them I was the assistant to an artist. These placements have been valuable for me as a person and for my artistic development. To be able to work closely with someone who enjoys and has a vast amount of knowledge in their profession has always been inspiring.
I have experience working in a team but also am quite happy to work individually.
Some of the accomplishments I am most proud of:
- Winning the Academy Minerva Prize for Shape Spatial Design 2006. For my bachelor graduation project. Awarded by an external experts jury.
-Being granted a covering scholarship to complete my Master studies in London.
-Invited to take part in "Krakow Street Theatre Festival 2007" and "The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007"
