The Grayson Desk was designed for John Lewis and went on sale in January 2022. It was designed as part of the Grayson range to fill an identified hole in the market through trend & competitor research, and after the success of the Grayson Shelving I had previously designed. This project started off with a concept ideation presentation to the clients to decide an overall design direction. I then went away and refined the design, optimising the engineering of the product and the design details to meet the keen price point. The outcome was a fully detailed manufacturing pack for their factory in Vietnam. The product went on sale as soon as manufacturing had begun, and has received high volumes of orders with very good customer reviews.
