About me

Passionate and enthusiastic, I am a textiles designer, who is highly motivated and creative, with a strong interest in print and embroidery. With recent experience working with a High Street brand in the fashion industry and having graduated with a master's qualification in textile design, I am looking for a creative opportunity where I can apply and evolve my skills as a print and embroidery designer.

I love to get stuck in to a project and I would rather work all night than leave a job unfinished. I work well with others and enjoy sharing ideas and working through problems, but I am just as happy to work alone.

I am looking for work to challenge me and push me.

Skills

*Strong drawing and creating mixed media designs., *Highly skilled in using Illustrator CS5 and CS6 as well as Photoshop, producing repeat patterns, boarder prints, and motifs. During my MA I focused on printed textiles and used Photoshop and Illustrator to create designs to be digitally printed using a variety of techniques including creating handmade artwork which was scanned and printed., * Able to create CAD designs of garments and products with patterns and motifs., *A skilled screen printer during the last year of my BA I combined silk screen printing within my embroidery designs and found a love for printed textiles. I chose to specialise my MA in printed textiles created a range of garments using both digital and silk screen printing as well as combining the two together, using a variety of techniques and mediums to explore the potential of my designs.

Sector Experience

- internship with Swatch Loft - desinging patterns for childrens wear and home , - 4 months internship at Monsoon. design assistant for the childrens wear department.
