I was excited to see an ad which almost perfectly matches my experience, skills and career ambitions. Aside from the right qualification (BA Hons in Marketing from Strathclyde University), here are four key reasons to consider my application.

Solid experience in Building and Maintaining Strong Client Relationships

In all of my jobs one of my main focuses has been strong client service orientation combined with excellent ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues. I have often been praised for my diplomacy and tact. While at Barclays Investment Bank, I had to strengthen working relationships with investment bankers, using excellent communication techniques in order to deliver performance reports and to ensure data accuracy.

In addition to this, while at the Scottish Chamber of Commerce, one of my responsibilities was to prepare and sell sponsorship packages to the Scottish business community, bringing yielded £53,462.50 in revenue, as well as to liaise with all guests' speakers and agents. I believe it was through building strong relationships that I managed not only to attain the HRH Princess Royal to present at the annual dinner but I also obtained verbal agreement that she would be willing to this again in the future.

Unstoppable enthusiasm

I realised, that my Microsoft excel was only at a basic level, and I wanted to improve this in order to help me become more efficient in my roles. Through my own accord I paid to study an online course, and I am now an advanced Excel user. I was able to use my knowledge of excel in increasing the efficiency in some process, examples include: using formula knowledge for external links, excel tables and naming ranging to optimise data or even creating and formatting pivot tables for data analysis. Whether it's working in cross-functional teams or alone or volunteering to work on charity, fundraising projects, seeing the tangible results of my efforts is a huge, personal reward.

Attention to Detail

Working as a performance analyst for the Ultra High Network clients at Barclays Wealth has developed my numeracy, literacy and accuracy skills to a high level. When dealing with clients' portfolios and information, it is vital to be accurate and take great care with attention to detail

One on my main roles at Barclays was to analyse and stream line clients' information before we changed it to a new system. This involved using the excel platform such as pivot tables to arrange client data into more manageable sets, as well as creating a power point presentations to explain to the wider network. This information had to be accurate due to the nature of the clients.
