About me

As CEO of Havas New York (famous for creating one of the most iconic and celebrated advertising campaigns of all time, 'The Most Interesting Man in the World' for Dos Equis), Laura leads the North American flagship agency of Havas Group, driving a culture of creativity, innovation, and impact for some of the world's most recognized companies including ADP, BNY Mellon, IBM, JLL, Keurig Dr Pepper, Reckitt, Rite Aid and TD Ameritrade.

Laura has full P&L management and operational oversight of the creative flagship and several specialized offerings within the New York Village including Shorty Awards Small Agency of the Year, Annex88—a modern content-led agency of creators designed to make brands like adidas Originals, buybuy BABY, Courvoisier, Etsy, Hugo Boss, Hyatt, L'Oreal, and Treasury Wine Estates relevant by revealing their connections to culture. She also oversees Havas CX (formerly Havas Helia in North America), a customer engagement and data agency, part of the Havas CX global network with 1800+ specialists designing meaningful products, experiences, and signature moments across the full customer journey.

Since taking the helm in 2016, Laura has been a catalyst for Havas' growth, steering a turnaround that earned the agency Digiday's Most Innovative Culture, Ad Age's Best Places to Work, AdExchanger's Best Collaborative Agency Team, The Drum's Network Agency of the Year, and Digiday's Employer of the Year. She was named a Working Mother of the Year and Changing the Game 'Quantum Leap' winner by She Runs It, Campaign US' Female Frontier honoree for Championing Change, Creativepool's Annual Top Influencer of the Year, Top 25 CEO, Top 100 Creative Leader, Digiday's 'Top Boss' for Worklife, and a finalist for The Drum's CEO of the Year.

As the first major network agency globally and in the US to become a certified B Corp, Laura aspires to make a meaningful difference by placing equal balance on people, profit, and planet, and using business as a force for good.

Prior to her role as CEO of Havas New York, Laura simultaneously served as US Chief Growth Officer for Havas Worldwide North America and Managing Director of Havas Chicago resulting in three consecutive years of more than 35% revenue growth and a >300% increase in profitability. Laura boasts 25 years of strategic marketing and leadership experience ranging from digital pure-plays to globally integrated ad networks. Before Havas, she was based in San Francisco as CMO of Propane Studio. Prior to that, she led growth for IPG-owned FCB West across SF, Seattle & LA, and previously for Chicago-based digital shops including WPP/Wunderman-owned Designkitchen, Black Dog Interactive and Publicis-owned Giant Step (now Arc Worldwide).

A wholehearted, empathetic leader focused on the major priorities shaping the future of equitable, responsible, and sustainable business, Laura ignites positive change as a highly engaged Board Member for several organizations including the world's largest NGO for abandoned children (SOS Children's Villages, where she serves on the Executive Committee and personally sponsors a young girl from Peru), private venture-backed martech companies (Alembic and GNB), ad industry nonprofits (4A's and ACT Responsible) and her alma mater (Loyola University Chicago, where she delivered the 2020 Commencement Address).

A graduate of Stanford Directors' College with an emphasis on modern board governance spanning ESG and Sustainability, Corporate Strategy, and HCM Workforce Culture in a pandemic era, Laura's continued commitment to lifelong learning includes recent graduate certificates from Harvard University in Sustainable Business Strategy and the renowned, by-invitation Sustainability Leadership program from Harvard University's T.H.
