The project was to design packaging for a new line of teas for an already established food company that specializes in Asian sauces. The wanted something in the style of folk art. The design was something that would have to compete on grocery store shelves with name brands like Celestial Seasonings. Upon visiting a few grocers, I realized that the Celestial boxes could be stacked in more than one way on the shelves, which also seemed to dictate how the rest of the competitors boxes were also stacked. So, the new Naam boxes would also have to be able to be eye catching from more than one side. The result was eye catching, vividly coloured folk art type illustrations on boxes that could be turned and still look great, with the name brand on more than one side, so as to be recognizable from more than one angle.
