Explore and celebrate craft and all that could entail. Research your chosen skill, discover as much as you can about it. Understand it, then devise a proposition and communicate it in an appropriate and inventive way. A celebration of colours from the environment; the craft of natural inks to extract colours from natural materials around us. Initially inspired by eco screen-printing; to explore the process myself, and create my own natural inks to create a range of colours and textures. A tactile book that celebrates the art of natural colours, with fresh and dried materials to show how creating natural dyes can help connect with nature, and explore a sustainable way to bring colour into life. The publication consists of photography, dyed paper, swatches and tip-ins to replicate the process.
