You may ask what a still life photograph has to do with the tragedy that unfolded in Portugal 2017, I found a withered piece of Eucalyptus by the side of the road, this became a symbol for me of the Environmental tragedy.
The human and ecological disaster associated with eucalyptus plantation expansion is well-documented.  The tragic results in Portugal, where plantations reach right up to the edge of roads and towns, have led to death and destruction.
