About me
I am a Journalism Graduate, who has recently completed a Copywriting course, with a passion for creating copy that is enjoyable yet informative to read.
I am creative, determined, possess a strong work ethic and self-motivated who works wells independently and as part of a team.
I recently completed a Copywriting course with the College of Media and Publishing. I learned how to write and develop innovative and engaging copy ranging from press releases to advertising content for social media. This course provided me with extra knowledge on the ins-and-outs of writing and being able to adapt my creative style when needed.
My four-month internship as a Copywriter at The Clothing Lounge gave me an insight into working for a fashion brand, dealing with day-to-day issues. My duties included: maintaining copy for their website, rewriting designer bios to increase search engine optimisation, proofreading and editing interviews, researching and writing monthly newsletters and interviews with designers.
During my three years at the University of Lincoln, I had the privilege of being able to learn how to use programmes such as Photoshop, InDesign, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace etc. Moreover, I also learned how to improve my writing, communication and editing skills.
Beyond my educational experience, I interned at various newspaper and magazine companies where I got to undergo tasks of own to contribute to the publication. Duties varied from pitching stories to interviewing models to researching Harry Potter.
My time at The Clothing Lounge, Lincoln and the work experience have awarded me with essential skills such as: excellent verbal and communication skills, adaptability, proofreading, ability to work well under pressure/meet deadlines and achieve tasks to the best of my potential.
