This project was my Final Major Project from my Illustration degree, we were given the title of the project which was to create an illustrated A-Z. I decided to abstract this by doing an A-Z of costume designs for Lady Gaga as her stage costumes are so eccentric and I felt it could give me the opportunity to be more conceptual with the costumes rather than something that is necessarily practical or even in some cases possible. over the course of the project I came up with many variations of options for costumes and what they could be made from. I decided to create a different item of clothing for each letter as well as made from a different thing, some of these things being somewhat controversial or inappropriate for certain audiences. Some of the letters of the alphabet are from the thing it is made from and some from the type of clothing it is. All the images created are collages constructed digitally using Photoshop, some sections are of high-quality resolution combined with some overly pixelated low-quality images, this was intentional to give a contrast in the imagery used and the mixture of depth and texture it gives to each collage. any figure of Lady Gage is completely constructed of images of her, which required in some cases a lot or research and gathering of images. I feel this style of digital collage can be applied to a variety of different projects. ( ordering of images mixed up during upload)
