A University project by where we had to pic a form of editorial illustration. I found an article that interested me online, one on Amy Winehouse. After much experimentation of different mediums and processes I settled on digital collage, which became a preferred style in which to work in for future projects. I gathered many images of the singer and also images of the backgrounds and other components in each of the three scenes described in the article. any figures of Amy are constructed only of parts of images of the artist herself. I played around a lot with composition but decided the mixture of muted colour for the figure against the black and white background was the most successful.
