The Koalaa Joeyy is where prosthetics meet play. It’s a ‘my first’ prosthetic for babies from birth up to the age of three. The Joeyy is sturdy enough to be functional, supporting babies as they reach their milestones, yet soft enough to cuddle up to at night and fun enough to join in all their adventures.

The Koalaa Joeyy consists of a moulded interior designed to clip effortlessly onto the handlebars of walkers, push-along toys, balance bikes and scooters. The interior is enclosed seamlessly within layers of soft material, giving a comfortable exterior that is delicate enough for baby’s soft skin, totally chewable and even washable. Each member of the Joeyy family is shaped like a cute and friendly animal including a sheep, turtle, koala (of course), shark, bee and a puppy. With its cute and approachable design, a Koalaa Joeyy is more at home in the toy box than a clinic. It offers a gentle and friendly introduction to prosthetics whilst promoting good posture and balance as children learn to explore and travel about their world.

The Koalaa Joeyy was born, as with all our unique products, from listening closely to our users. From taking on board the questions, worries, hopes and wants of the newest parents in the limb difference community. We don’t tell users what we can offer them; we ask what they need and reflect that in each of our designs. Following extensive discussions with parents, our Joeyy design process prioritised child safety, simple and effective function as well as enjoyment and a sense of fun.

The Joeyy was designed with parents in mind: With busy babies on the go, ease of use was essential. With its sleek hook and loop design, the Joeyy can be put on even the wriggliest of limbs in seconds. The Koalaa Joeyy is also fully washable – simply close the tabs and it can go in with your regular washing.

The Joeyy was designed with babies in mind: with no detachable parts and friendly animal designs. We looked at the best children’s toys on the market and pinpointed what made them so successful. Now each member of our Joeyy family features a different texture: from the crinkly bumble bee to the fluffy sheep and the sleek shark, each design has something to foster baby’s innate curiosity and sense of fun.

Every child is uniquely perfect, so a Koalaa Joeyy doesn’t seek to replace a missing limb. Instead, a Joeyy gives children the freedom to explore without fear and to play without restraint.
