I am writing to express my interest in Copywriter and Creative Researcher for Merlin Entertainments. I learned of this opening from the Creativepool mailing list, and as an experienced copywriter I was immediately intrigued.

As mentioned in my enclosed CV, I have over two years of experience as a professional freelance copywriter. My portfolio ranges from online content, direct mail and print ads to full-blown integrated campaigns involving television and radio, POPs, web banners and social networking sites. And like most well-rounded freelancers, I often have to play the role of art director. This requires working with online image banks and galleries, Photoshop, and occasionally preparing my own digital photographs for final production.

Besides having an enthusiastic and positive attitude that translates through both my work and my personality, I believe that my insatiable curiosity makes me an exceptional researcher. And I'm confident that my keen eye for detail and design and my ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines will prove an asset to your company.

My freelance rate is £20 per hour and I'm open to negotiate a contract rate for specific projects. However, at the moment I'm more inclined to accept a permanent position with a set salary.
