The final pieces created for my degree Final Major Project, 'Living, Breathing Townscapes'.

The World around us lives and breathes with life, not only with the nature that makes up the Earth, but also with culture. Towns are alive with human life; as people go about their daily busy lives, the areas vibrate with energy.

The aim of my artwork is to express this concept through the use of brush strokes, drips, and, most importantly to me, colour. The colours used in a painting can make a difference to how we perceive the subject painted - I like to use bright, saturated colours to make the painting vibrate and glow with life. These colours I mix myself with three colours - cyan, magenta and yellow (plus white).
