ABOUT

This project was created as an exploration of my own emotions after coming out and facing the LGBTQ+ community. Having an alternative style within the community was difficult at first and left me feeling anxious, nervous and uncomfortable.

Upon starting this project I was exploring how I overcame the anxiety felt when in the community. Body language, when I started to explore the gay scene around the age of 17, I started to use my hands more as I spoke as I felt that this made people actually listen to what I had to say, in turn, relieving the anxiety felt. Over time I started to take inspiration from horror films that I watched as a kid and really embrace my alternative nature.
