This industry refuses to leave me. It followed me into another career and I recently ended up as a creative consultant to the world's fourth biggest search engine advising experts on the inside on how to launch a particularly difficult new website successfully whilst supposedly teaching English and I began to ask myself the question why am I not working as a Creative Director.
I cannot stop myself from thinking and being a Creative Director, the passion will not go away. It never has and I'm glad, because I absolutely love it! I am passionate about everything to do with advertising and I need to get back into the driving seat somewhere and help develop a business (long term) and work with people who are as passionate about the industry as I am, preferably in London.
I have worked for several International Advertising agencies on global brands: Saatchi & Saatchi, WPP, TBWA, Euro RSCG, Lowes, on British Airways, Comet, The Army, P&G, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Mobily Telecoms, B.A.T. Sabic Basic Industries, Toyota, Rolls-Royce, Lakeside and hundreds of other accounts.
I have won awards for myself and for other people and I want to do more of that. Being away for what seems a lifetime has given me an incredible drive. The same drive that empowered one of my teams to beat BBDO three times in a row in one pitch, the same drive that enabled me to replace one agency's entire billings within 18 months, the same drive that drove me to produce a world first groundbreaking 3D creative campaign and the same drive that helped me with one copy line to help bring home 7 D&Ad's for one agency's creative team with one campaign line.
