About me
I have over twenty years experience in the design industry, working mainly within publishing on magazines and illustrated books. This has enabled me to develop a wide range of skills. My main strength is in print design and I am fluent in all industry standard software including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark Xpress. I have some experience in design for the web and am currently undertaking an Adobe credited course covering website construction, hosting and management with a strong bias towards HTML coding and the use of Adobe Dreamweaver. I also have a keen interest in photography which I have developed both as part of my employed roles and in my own time.
Throughout my career I have developed the ability to control workflow in a manner that has always met both schedule and budget constraints and have gained a wide knowledge of desktop publishing and central file management systems. I have worked with a wide range of people, forming good working relationships with editorial, marketing and sales staff and meeting their varying needs across different projects whilst maintaining company brand standards.
Due to economic circumstances, my previous role with a London-based media company became redundant at the end of 2011. I am now looking for a new opportunity and I am confident my existing skills could be utilised by a new employer.
I would be very interested to discuss any new roles further.
Thank you
Kevin Williams
