Child abuse can take many forms. Emotional, physical, sexual, and neglect. It can happen to any child, in any family, anywhere.

Sadly, research has shown that many people who are abused as children go on to become abusers themselves.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

This personal project attempts to put the issue front and centre, right in the public’s face. It dramatically shows the issue that can be passed on from generation to generation, using the stark yet innocent image of a child with the rough and brutish hands of an adult. This is backed up by the clear yet chilling fact that 30% of abused children become abusers.

The copy continues by highlighting and supporting the vital work of the NSPCC; we can all play our part in preventing abuse. Helping a child get their life back on track and breaking the cycle.
