I recently came across the position of Social Media Account Manager and I would love to apply for the role. I've attached a copy of my CV, as well as a magazine I made so you can see what I can do! I recently won the 'Media & Design Award' at Graduate Fashion Week for my magazine, which was judged by Jefferson Hack and Melanie Rickey. It's a print magazine called Thorn, which is based on the transience and symbolism of flowers in art, fashion and culture. I created it in its entirety; writing all the articles, interviewing the artists and designers, commissioning artists to design original pieces, doing the photo-shoots and designing the layout and aesthetics of the publication. I've just graduated from UCA Epsom with a 2:1 degree in Fashion Journalism, but working in a creative environment is where I want to be. I've had numerous internships and jobs since the age of fifteen that have helped me experience the journalistic side of the industry, but my most recent internship at Protein Networks opened my eyes to the exciting world of PR and social media within a creative agency. As Promotions Assistant, I worked on campaigns for the likes of Lacoste, Fred Perry, Becks and Samsung. Responsible for the running of their many Twitter and Facebook pages, my role within the company was to help generate press for the campaigns by seeding content to influential bloggers, websites and PR companies. I worked directly with the brand's main influencers and audience, getting them involved and on board with the various projects. I also had to create a Powerpoint presentation at the end of each week that highlighted the press coverage that we had received for each campaign, which was then sent directly to the brand. Using Google Analytics, I had to provide detailed information on the campaign's online presence.

I'm a very motivated and organized person, who's comfortable using all Microsoft and Adobe programmes, including Excel, Photoshop and Indesign. Aside from Protein, I've interned for the Sunday World Magazine, creating shopping pages, writing small pieces for the issue and assisting on photo-shoots. Since then, I've interned with Life Magazine, where I worked on their July 2010 issue and Irish Tatler Magazine, where I had numerous pieces published in their June 2011 issue. As well as the internships and placements that I've done, I've worked for promotions and marketing companies alongside my university work for three years. I was a brand ambassador engaging with the public through social events, as well as utilizing numerous social media platforms to connect with consumers for brands such as Red Bull and O2.
