PepTalk Magazine is a mental wellness publication filled with the latest science, tools and wellbeing wisdom that helps build a healthy mind. I was asked to illustrate the cover for the ‘Courage’ issue, here’s my take on courage:

“I’ve drawn what I believe courage to be; a solo journey where the path ahead is unclear and the destination out of sight. Courage is about going after what you want. Or at the very least it’s about leaving behind something that is no longer right for you. It can be a giant leap of faith, but I think more often it’s about taking gradual steps forward. Before taking those steps we often wait for a sign or for situations to perfectly align, but epiphanies don’t really happen and waiting for the perfect moment can leave us feeling crippled by fear. Facing fear on the other hand can be incredibly empowering and when you feel powerful you start to realise that like anything, the more you practice courage the more you’ll see it pay off.”
