The concept for this project grew from the client's need to stand out from the crowd at the vast and varied PPMA Trade show at the NEC in Birmingham. The stand had to draw potential clients, amidst hundreds of other stands showcasing all kinds of interesting products and services. We wanted to grab the right people's attention and show them what Flextech are all about.

The client asked us to wow them with a great idea, and we did just that. We created a detailed 3D render to let them see inside our heads, and they weren't disappointed.

We proposed a giant LED cylinder to showcase their range of hoses, contrasted by a clean open minimalistic stand structure. We also added some superb photography to set the whole thing off.

The 'Main Event' was our 4m tall, custom built, seamless LED cylinder. Six sections of specially constructed, rolled steel framework; anchored by a bespoke base, supported our flexible LED panels and all the necessary cabling to bring the whole thing to life!

An unconventional screen like this demanded some totally unique content, and we delivered! We utilised 3D modelling and simulations, to create falling smoke and pharmaceutical pills. We 3D scanned the texture from Flextech’s hose range and painstakingly recreated a particularly problematic texture in Illustrator, seamlessly!

While the star of the show was the LED, we also needed some striking photography of the products to integrate into the stand walls, and of course the stand itself. Four meter high Foamex clad walls were anchored by white powder coated poles that fitted nicely with the style we were going for. We also added a cupboard to hold all of the video equipment and some handy storage for the exhibitors.

We sourced some highly stylised chairs that fitted with the look and feel we were after, to this we added two specially created tables; one bar table featuring a leg made of braided metal hose, and a coffee table using the same kind of hose to construct the coiled support.

We were really excited with the outcome, and more importantly, so was the client!
