About me

I. In 1985, I saw for the first time how a film was shot. There were big lights and some arm vehicles which were repeatedly driven from one corner of the street to the other. Little did I know it was "Take one, and Cut, take two and Cut". The images I saw when the film "Cry Freedom" was shot are still vivid to this day. That is the day I said to myself, I want to be a filmmaker. Over the years, I started pursuing my dream of becoming a filmmaker, pushing my way to study filming. However, the journey was never easy. There was a period when this dream was almost shattered, but, hey, I pulled myself back and today I carry the title Film Maker with a Master's Degree.

This passion has been pushing me through and I'm striving to make a master film of all times. I'm passionate - driven and have a big insight. I have grown my skills in directing, producing, cinematography, editing and project management. When I am not working on set or editing, I am improving new concepts, researching ideas and sourcing for collaborations. I spent most of my time collecting ideas from friends and the film business community.

My work includes directing the following films, Thorns, which was my entry point in directing. This was followed by two-shot films Assignment and Umbilical Cord, produced at very low budgets. I love every bit about these three films because when I look back, I really focus on everything that I did not do good and the findings have been my strength and I feel equipped and ready to venture into bigger projects. Regardless of its shortfalls, Thorns have worn the Best Zimbabwe Film at the ZIMA Awards UK in 2013. Therefore, engaging and or getting involved with me brings vast experiences and a guaranteed success.
