About Black Dinner

A pioneering premium experience platform dedicated to Black professionals in Brazil’s creative economy.
Since 2023, across 7 editions, Black Dinner has gathered hundreds of Black cultural leaders, including Seu Jorge, Luedji Luna, Ingrid Silva and Angela Bassett, building legacy through culture, luxury and future-forward narratives.

Context

On November 26, 2025, the 7th edition of Black Dinner took place at Baretto, Hotel Fasano (São Paulo).
The event honored Glória Maria, one of Brazil’s most iconic journalists, and reaffirmed Black presence and authorship within luxury spaces.

Challenge

To reshape cultural imaginaries and challenge a historic absence:
Black people are often invited into spaces of prestige, but rarely positioned at the center of them.

Our Vision

Inspired by Shirley Chisholm’s quote, “If they don’t give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair,” and *Solange Knowles’ A Seat at the Table, the concept reclaimed luxury as a space of belonging, not permission. A concept developed by KeLe and LePub São Paulo.
Black excellence doesn’t ask for access. It takes its rightful seat.

Solution

Under the presidency of Bárbara Brito Novaes, Black Dinner 2025 was designed as a fully immersive luxury experience, where every detail reinforced Black protagonism.
The evening brought together cultural leaders, artists and executives through:
• A live talk between Bárbara Brito Novaes and Michel Alcoforado (The Thing About Wealth)
• Speeches by Samantha Almeida (TV Globo) and filmmaker Danielle França
• Attendance by Seu Jorge & Flor Jorge, Emicida, Bella Campos, Tasha & Tracie, Tássia Reis, among others

Guests didn’t just attend the table. They occupied it.
