ABOUT
My girlfriend told me there was nothing to do and nothing to see in Birmingham, so I produced and directed Brum.
The book has two narratives, the main narrative and the meta-narrative.
The main narrative is the user's experience of the book, i.e. the stories they create at the locations.
The meta-narrative is the story of the origins of the book, which is told through three different mediums: the first is poetry; the second is film; the third is music.
The book adheres the golden ratio, Freytag's Pyramid, and Aristotlean unities of time, space, and action, while at the same time attracting the interest of VisitBirmingham.
It has it's own media channel, magazine, gallery, and art-house film company that can be accessed through codes in the book, thus each code has been described as a portal to another world imagined by me.
