About me
Dear Sirs/Madam,
Please find attached my CV regarding the above mentioned role.
I am enthusiastic about pursuing this role with yourselves as it would establish my career in a demanding and challenging commercial role, including the prospect of interaction with established clients. I am particularly interested in working for you because, as well as the company's reputation as a rapidly growing company in the industry, it offers its employees the opportunity to learn and develop and provides a thriving business environment in which to apply skills already obtained. I find the idea of being member of your team exciting due to the importance it holds for the company; the role allows a lot of room for development and creativity as well as a large amount of responsibility.
I left school in early 2014 after completing my A Levels, this was because I felt I wanted to experience the world and actually get into a job and perform well instead of having to wait years for a degree to enable me to do that. I believe with the passion and drive I have along with the ability to learn, entering a role like this would be good for me. It will lay out guidelines into where I can move forward with my career. Completing my A Levels I achieved good grades, an A in English Literature, an A in Drama and Theatre Studies, a C in Business Studies.
During my time at school, I did what any teenager would do and get a weekend job. I had a number of them as a lot of them were temporary jobs, but this enabled me to understand the idea of selling to a customer. Not just a product but selling yourself, the company and what you have to offer. I was able to gain more confidence from this and found that communicating with people was one of my strong points. I have an avid interest in media so following from this I began to create my own blog, SWVNK. This was just me and a few friends feeling that there was something missing in the blogging industry and we decided to put our interests to good use. Now we frequently hit over 4.000 hits a day on our page and have a lot of frequent readers.
After leaving school, I managed to get a job at Softcat being a Sales Executive on the Public Sector team. This was a great learning curve for me as I understood how a business works as at the time I was creating a business myself for a photography and clothing brand. The reason why I left Softcat was because; even though I live in Reading, I want to venture out to bigger parts of the UK and get more experience under my belt. I was also hungry for a more creative role which I couldn't have at Softcat as it was limited.
By experiencing a wide array of business aspects and developing a strong understanding of the core fundamentals, I am determined to succeed within a thriving environment. I am available for interview any time from now, and I hope to hear from you in due course.
Yours faithfully,
Kayne Stamp
