ABOUT
Centrum Praw Kobiet (Women's Rights Center) was founded in 1993 by Urszula Nowakowska, and thanks to the support of the Marshall Foundation, this noble initiative had a chance to spread help and support to oppressed women. It deals with violence and discrimination against women. Helps them in their difficult economic situation, bring legal assistance and psychological support.
Since the foundation deals with a variety of problems I came to the conclusion that in order to get a universal form of communication, I should move away from the pictorial creation of the signet ring and lean over the letter. Therefore, I decided to use the abbreviation - CPK. The signet ring consists of variations of the basic geometric figures forming the general outline of the letters. This non-obvious form is intended. Looking through the foundation materials, I realized that many people being affected by violence are afraid to ask for help. And just like on the website there is a "blur trail" function in the search menu, the logo was created for those who for many reasons do not want to be associated with the institution.
The sign is based on repetitive forms of circle and line. Simplicity, functionality and legitimacy of the structure were the basic design criteria. The two dots visible in the sign are the ends of the upper and lower elongation letters P and K. Minimalism is visible not only in the logo design but also in posters full of simple forms where reflective colour plays the main role.
