I have recently completed a BA (Hons) Graphic Design degree at Huddersfield University where I obtained a 2i. This degree included a year long placement in the third year where I worked for a Graphic Design company in Sheffield. During my placement I worked on a wide range of products including posters, flyers, brochures and annuals. I also worked on sourcing imagery for many of their clients. This year was very beneficial in helping me gain experience of the industry and increased my skills and confidence.During studying, I also carried out work experience within the design and print department at Unilever, Colworth. Although this role was mainly focused at the design department, I also carried out some of the roles of the reprographic assistants, including binding, printing, collating and laminating. I am particularly passionate about editorial design and have just completed the first issue of my own eco-magazine called Revive. It provides tips and techniques on how people can reuse and revive their own clothes. I worked on this as part of my final major project at University. I am hoping to start work on a follow up issue and publish them digitally on the internet for people to download for free.Although I am passionate about design, I am also really interested in developing my career within printing.
