About me

I am a mental health journalist and sensitivity reader, based in rural Oxfordshire, UK, and working remotely with people and organisations from around the world.

My career began in 2016, when I spent a month on the features desk as woman&home's work experience intern - which lead me to join Happiful magazine the following year, taking up the post of Editorial Assistant.

Today, I am Happiful's Head Writer, and during my time at the magazine I have had the opportunity to work on investigative features, meaningful and uplifting stories, interview cultural trailblazers, and guest edit issues.

Mental health is a topic that I feel passionately about, and I am consistently touched by the willingness of those who share their experiences with me to open up about something that has been stigmatised for so long. So, calling upon my experience as a mental health journalist, as well as lived experience, I began offering mental health sensitivity reader and consultancy services in 2021, to support writers, publishers, and brands approaching these topics in their work. Already, I have worked with major publishing houses in the UK and US, as well as independent authors, and companies seeking copy advice.
