ABOUT
In December 2012, on my schools Italian exchange, we visited Risiera di San Sabba, a concentration camp in Trieste, northern Italy. On this Holocaust memorial day, I thought I would take the opportunity of experimental charcoal animation to bring to life the letter of a Slovenian partisan who was held prisoner and killed in this camp.
My film is to remind people that even if the words are wiped or if someone tries to crumple them away, there will always be a remanence of life, of what's been there before. Nothing can truly be wiped away if we all fight to remember.
