Chromix is a personal music library that allows the user to organize songs and create playlists based on their association of the songs to certain colours. It was inspired by the synesthetic phenomenon of seeing colours while hearing sounds. However, Chromix is not limited to those with this ability, and aims to function more as a creative sensory exercise and experience.

Playlists can be created by selecting colours instead of audio tracks from the colour spectrum and will appear as a gradient. The tracks that appear in the playlist are the ones that have been dropped within a specific range of the selected colours. Playlists as well as tracks can be edited individually.

Chromix was created for a project that required a library of information of any kind to be organized and presented in a way that is compelling or personal to the owner of the library. I wanted to re-experience my considerably large music library by organizing tracks in a way that could potentially be more intuitive.
