I was given the opportunity to create my own project while at college, I chose to create a campaign poster and website for a hypothetical volunteering initiative. The enterprise would offer people who had been unemployed for a long time the chance to volunteer in exchange for mentoring and help to find a job.

The idea was to introduce volunteering as something we all have the skills for, that it doesn't need to be daunting, and to emphasise that it is not charity, it's a trade of skills and a chance to speak to someone.
