Cat calling is something we women are exposed to from a young age, it is deemed acceptable because it is “harmless banter”, however in my personal experience I’m normally too baffled and embarrassed to think of a response. For this project I collected examples of cat calls and responses they would have liked to have said. I then embroidered the responses onto items of clothing, in areas that cat callers tend to ‘appreciate’.

This was one of my favourite projects from university as it was one of larger ones that I singularly worked from start to finish on. Every step of the project I enjoyed, from speaking to and collecting primary material from members of the public, designing and creating the pieces clothing, then photographing them and creating a look book.
