ABOUT

THE CHALLENGE
The Brain Tumour Charity wanted to communicate their mission, operations and achievements to donors in an innovative and inspiring way. They wanted to use the Annual Report as an opportunity not only to share their successes, but to encourage readers to remain engaged with The Charity long-term and to think about other ways they could be part of The Brainy Bunch.

THE SOLUTION
We created a practical report that can be used every day in the form of a desk pad, rather than a typical booklet-format Annual Report, which is often discarded after reading. As well as a round-up of The Charity's annual achievements, the report included a handful of call to action, brain teasers, doodles and inspirational quotes, encouraging people to interact with the content, whilst keeping it true to its function as an annual review.

I worked with a copywriter to develop the idea, content, design and format.

It won a Third Sector Award in 2016 in the category of Annual Report. I was subsequently invited to a Charity Comms conference to deliver a talk on how we developed the idea.

“An incredibly clever idea that has been brilliantly executed.”
Clare Lucas, panel judge, Third Sector Awards 2016
