This design is a response to the “Indian Summer” trend report, which was a part of the MIID Summer School’s 20 Advanced Track. It’s heavily inspired by the embellishments and decor of Indian textiles as well as techniques like woodblock printing.

All elements for this design are hand drawn and crafted digitally into highly decorative, stylised ornaments that can also be used as standalone illustrations. This print is coloured in a total of 3 Pantones, which are inspired by the intensity of Indian spices like paprika, turmeric and ginger. However this vibrant trio is then contrasted by a more paired down neutral background. Thanks to this specific colour combination, though inspired by traditionally Indian motifs, this pattern offers a bold, contemporary ethnic print accompanied by a set of supporting decorative borders.
