About me
After graduating from UCLan with a Degree in Advertising & Communication Design, Karl had stints at adversing agencies in Leeds & Manchester but was drawn to the bright lights of London (Back in the day - 'The Advertising Capital of the World'). Following 10 successful years at several top 10 global agencies including Ogilvy, DDB & Bates Worldwide and bags full of awards he headed back to his native North, to further his career in some of the region's best agencies. Which brought him to Vivid in Manchester, where he's been ever since, heading up the creative department as Exec Creative Director.
Karl's proudest moments are:
Amassing a hefty 20 years in the industry (without total hair loss)
Representing the UK as a Young Creative at the Cannes Lions Festival
Winning the David Ogilvy Award for outstanding creativity
Reducing Suicide rates with his Samaritans Campaign
Winning Creative Review's Creative Futures
Being the proud owner of a Duracell Bunny
Winning a PepsiCo Yum award for the KFC Twister
Changing the perception of Women's Football with his England's Women European Championship Campaign
Winning a Pompidou Group European Prevention Prize for Tobacco Free Futures, which led to the banning of cigarette Vending Machines in the UK.
Having the opportunity to advertise his beloved home town Preston, also the North West of England and winning a DBA in the process.
