Memphis is a musical with music by David Bryan, lyrics by Bryan and Joe DiPietro, and a book by DiPietro. The show is loosely based on the story of Memphis disc jockey Dewey Phillips, one of the first white DJs to play black music in the 1950s.
Creating a 1950's world for a premiere West Coast Regional theatre. Costumes were designer by me and built by Theatre Company of Upland CA. The results were sold out shows and student matinees that spoke to all generations. Award winning Choreographer and Director Edgar Godineaux allowed me to transform his vision into reality.
