ABOUT

The briefPeople with mental health problems say that stigma and discrimination can make their difficulties worse and make it harder to recover.Mental health problems are common, affecting thousands of us in the UK. Despite this, there is still a strong stigma (negative attitude) around mental health. People with mental health problems can also experience discrimination (negative treatment) in all aspects of their lives. The design challenge        Implement a branding campaign to show that having poor mental health and accessing help such as therapy is nothing to be ash amed of, signposting people to the free help people can access via www.themindmap.co.uk.  Target audience: gen z and millenialsTone of voice: Authoritative yet accesible and engagingThe solutionThe client wanted an innovative visual aesthetic as mental health sector can often look a bit repetitive and dull.Through my research and observation I realized that most of the general missconceptions towards people that seek help and therapy were weakness and egocentrims, selfish, oddness and pasivity.Thats very far from reality as 1)you don't get to choose your mental health 2)Most of the poeple with mental health issues are more worried about their relatives than themselves 3) it requieres a lot of courage and action to seek help and fight your demons.I decided to create a campaign that would express that courage, active commitment, generosity and humanity that means going to therapy. The main objective of this campaign is to remove all the negative missconceptions about therapy with bold but friendly vibe.
