ABOUT

Doctors, nurses and paramedics are more likely than the rest of us to be impacted by mental health issues. After the pandemic, they were 40% more likely to suffer severe mental health issues and 13x more likely to commit suicide – but they were far less likely to accept support.

The Laura Hyde Foundation – the UK's only charity providing mental health support to health and emergency service workers – wanted to help first responders identify when they or their co-workers needed help.

Based on real accounts from frontline workers, we created a film to encourage healthcare staff to seek support for their mental health. Our set of characters, called 'The Feelings' simplified complex emotions, making them easy to recognise, name and discuss.
