About me

I currently work as a Artworker/Mac Operator at a printers in Thamesmead, south London but am seeking a similar position elsewhere which offers more potential to further my career opportunities. I am seeking new challenges in artwork and design and feel that I have got to the stage of my career where it would be of benefit to explore new possibilities. I feel that I have a wealth of experience to offer a new employer, having worked in many different areas of the print trade. I am keen to keep learning in all aspects of my new role and would like a position which will enable me to keep furthering my abilities especially in the areas of artwork and design. I have worked in the print industry for the past twelve years and have experienced many different aspects of the trade from starting on single colour machines working to quickly being promoted to operating five colour presses. All of which I feel helps add to my artwork as I understand the printing process regarding CMYK and spot colour work and also with page layouts.I have three years experience of artwork and design. In my current job as a Mac Operator in the repro department of a busy printing company, I particularly enjoy interacting with customers and relish new challenges. My day usually consists of creating new artwork for a broad range of customers, and preparing media documents for print regularly using programs such as Indesign, Quark, Illustrator and Photoshop as well as Microsoft programs
