ABOUT

There lived a god named Dijiang, with six legs and four wings. Despite having no face, they’re said to be fond of music and dance. - Text from Classic of Mountains and Seas

Dijiang's Tale is a two-dimensional frame-by-frame animation. Inspired by Chinese classics Zhuangzi and Classic of Mountains and Seas, the film tells the story of Dijiang, a faceless god who adores music and dance. They lived a simple life inside the mountain until one day, two other gods decided to give Dijiang the one thing he's missing - a face. Would this be the finishing touch to an elaborate canvas? Or simply like giving a snake a wasted pair of feet? ani
