ABOUT

I was asked to create a poster for Ruddigore, a creepy comic musical from the Victorian era. As this production would be set in 1960, I was asked to try and involve some early sixties styles in my design, as well as focusing on the dual nature of the (anti) hero, the sweet heroine, the mad maiden, the completely bonkers professional bridesmaids, and, of course, the ghosts. In the end I blended 60's poster design with sixties cartoons, and was able to use the limited colour pallet I had seen in some of the older comics, which gave it, I think, a very paired back look.
