Two Weeks in November” (TWIN) is a feature length political documentary thriller about a
precisely orchestrated military operation that took place in Zimbabwe in November 2017.
The film follows powerful perspectives of the secrecy, precision and political intrigue
surrounding the scramble for the most coveted position in Zimbabwe. Through interviews
with key players, archive, social media posts and reconstructions, the film highlights the
events surrounding the fall of Robert Mugabe, who had ruled the southern African nation
with an iron fist for 37 years, since its independence.
TWIN chronicles Emmerson Mnangagwa’s dramatic escape from Zimbabwe to Mozambique
and South Africa, and his eventual rise to power two weeks later, after the intervention of
the military and a public uprising that the international community struggled to comprehend.
