I was given a poem written by Kurt Schwitters. It is a story about a lonely rooster that tries to find love by cracking open
his three eggs.

I analysed this story in depth and I showed that it related to happiness, loneliness and gambling. I wanted to show the
dark side of loneliness and how it can effect people and them to lose their emotions by holding them in.

I created an illustrated book that uses dark imagery to create tension and is a way of showing depression and loneliness by drawing inspiration from David Foldvari to create these images. The handwritten typography combines with the black ink drawings to show the hidden side of depression.
