Dear Sir or Madam,

I would be a fantastic Junior Copywriter for your top children's online fashion magazine. I am a highly creative individual with excellent writing skills, with a passion for fashion and a plethora of experience selling children's clothes.

In my previous experience as a Sales Associate in Harrods' Childrenswear department, I gained an in-depth knowledge of the stores' childrenswear brands, which I used to sell effectively to prospective buyers. I learned about new trends and crazes on the Childrenswear market, and used this knowledge to appeal to young shoppers and their parents. I learnt the right tone to use to make the children feel entertained, and their parents informed. This would make me ideal to create a tone of voice appropriate and ideal for the magazine.

I am a highly creative individual, who loves to write, and has a strong writing portfolio, which can be viewed on my online portfolio which I have attached. I write my own blog creatively, and I also wrote history-themed articles and a historical blog for New Histories magazine. I also have experience creating content on, and managing social media: as a social media manager for HOPE Sheffield, I was responsible for creating and posting content on the social enterprises' Facebook page daily, as well as contributing to the enterprises' Twitter and Instagram accounts. This required me to possess the creativity to come up with innovative, eye catching posts, and the self-discipline to set the time aside to research ideas for posts, as well as great proofreading skills, as I had to ensure that each post looked professional, streamlined and grammatically correct. My ability to write in a variety of different styles, and for different purposes demonstrates my strong writing skills, which would make me an ideal Junior Copywriter for your company.

I am naturally great with computers, with very strong PC skills. I am adept at Microsoft Outlook, and I can create and manipulate spreadsheets and databases to a high level. Additionally, whilst working during the busty Christmas sale, I became accustomed to working in a fast paced environment.

I am a great person to work with, possessing great interpersonal skills. Whilst working at Harrods, I developed great relationships with my colleagues across all levels of the business, from shop floor staff to store owners in the head office. I was regularly praised for my hard work and attitude as a great team player, whilst customers were impressed by my positive attitude, which left them eager to return to the department. This demonstrates that, as well as being an excellent written communicator, I am also a great verbal communicator.
