ABOUT
A self-initiated typographic branding project built entirely around honesty, cultural identity and bold visual conviction.
Inspired by the no-filler aesthetic of typographic card design, the project centres on a suite of statement cards — each one a single, bold declaration rather than a list of credentials. The concept was simple: let the type do the work. No illustration, no decoration. Just weight, colour and words that mean something.
The system spans six core identity cards, twelve achievement postcards, a circular badge, a business card and a “Who Am I?” card — each piece consistent in palette, typeface and tone. Six brand colours (navy, red, mustard, cream, forest green and black) carry the full set, drawn from a vocabulary that feels both international and grounded. The contact information runs as pill-tagged footnotes at the base of each piece, echoing the utility of a label without sacrificing the design.
The project was taken from concept through to print-ready assets at 300 DPI, physical mockups, an animated video and a binder ring presentation format — exploring how a personal brand can work across both print and motion.
At its core, the work is autobiographical. Born in Pakistan, based in Doncaster, trained at Sheffield Hallam — the statements reflect a journey that doesn’t follow a straight line. Pakistan to Doncaster via Design. Self-taught? No. Life-taught. The cards don’t explain the story. They point to it and trust the viewer to be curious.
