ABOUT
For Venezuelans, 2017 began again under increasing tensions and economic crisis. Barely a year after the opposition parties won absolute majority of the National Assembly, political and legal maneuvers were triggered to prevent the parliament from functioning, including an order from the Supreme Court to dissolve the Parliament’s functions.
Thousands of people protested in the streets of Caracas. They tried marching
downtown but day after day they were repressed by the security forces.
100 days in which memorable and devastating moments were documented, the youngest population faced a machinery of repression with tear gas, watercannon and bullets.
This work was inspired by the courage of thousands of anonymous young people who protest for democracy and civil rights in Venezuela.
