About me
To whom it may concern,
I am writing regarding the position of Graduate - Junior Motion Designer / Video Editor for Silva Screen Music Group as advertised on creative pool
My experience as outlined in the attached CV should clearly demonstrate that I have the skills and knowledge to easily fill the requirements of the role. I should also draw your attention to my work ethic and level of professionalism that I also feel will meet all the requirements of your company.
I often work through the night and at weekends to meet deadlines and film events. I am always prepared before shoots and know exactly what the client requires.
My music videos have been premiered in Terrorizer and Metal Hammer magazines, two of which have won online awards. Very recently I had the pleasure of filming and editing the latest RSPCA campaign, which will run in the autumn.
I have a large portfolio of different styles of editing and work and feel that I could rise to the challenge of filming and editing videos for you. This year I have been filming and editing wedding and corporate videos. I created a wedding highlight video for a close friend last year and the response was so great that I decided to persue it further after noticing a gap in the market for quirky wedding videos.
I have made short documentaries in my own time and recently whilst on holiday in Vegas made a short video of the city just for my own use, which the local tourism board saw and loved.
I myself have featured in two of my music videos so I am not camera shy.
I am comfortable with my experience and existing level of interest in the services you provide I will be a strong candidate for this position in your company. Please do take the time to take a look at my portfolio, in particular the wedding highlights and music videos as they demonstrate that i can cut music and also show off my creativity as a video editor. Each video is so different but also maintains quirkiness and originality.
If media doesn't grab a person's attention then something has gone wrong. No matter the video, with the right creativity and mind-set behind it, it can be a piece of art on its own merits.
Yours Sincerely
Jordan Saunders
