Dear Sir/Madam

I read with interest about your vacancy for a Junior Designer. I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University over one year ago with a successful 2:1 honours degree in Product Design. Whilst studying at University I worked as a Freelance Designer producing Graphic and Marketing Designs for a number of companies around Scotland. I have recently designed promotional work in Edinburgh Airport for Com Cabs, a large taxi service in the UK.

Although I have graduated with a specific degree in Product Design, I have worked on many projects ranging from Advertising, Promotional and Graphic Design. I have a great passion for design and feel that I would be extremely valuable in the position you are looking to fill. I am currently in full time employment as a Graphic Designer for a worldwide online sports retailer where I have utilised my existing skills as well as taking on new ones.

I have been fortunate enough to have my design work exhibited at both New Designers in London and Grand Design Live in Birmingham. I feel I have done extremely well within the first year of graduating and would like to continue to improve and learn new skills.

I have a proficient knowledge in Adobe (CS3/4/5) Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I am a fast learner and I am always willing to take my knowledge of design to another level. As a young designer, I am always looking to develop my talents and I feel that I would be a great asset to your business.
